My New Book

Hello,

I will now introduce my newest book which I think is a breakthrough in openings books. As far
as I know this is the first General Purpose All-manual opening book to be released in public,
that is no games imported.

I don't know the strengths of the book as I did not tested it yet versus other books, I merely
look at other books and compare to mine. The software I use is of course the best that is out there, rybka that is and also fritz. But my hardware is slow, due to my job of having frequent travels I am forced to use my laptop for development of this book.

It was develop around Febuary of this year, 15min - 1 hour a day mostly during my break or travel times.
Most of lines are hand tuned and fairly analyzed but there are times which I get lazy and just imported rybka analysis so some lines might be weak. I also added some variety to the book, so its lifespan should be longer.

If you are a starter you can use this as a base for your own manual book, maybe tune it to your favorite lines. Computer chess is a great hobby I suggest you try it :-)

For my fellow book authors, I challenge you all to create a counter ctg book for this book provided you won't exceed 4mb and your book should score at least 100 elo in a 100 game match versus mine. Of course this is very possible but can you do it in 3 days? :-)

Don't forget to play in chess servers or vs other books and send me games played with this book or any quality computer chess games, so I can improve it and maybe create new varieties and styles.

Gabriel 2.1

My last book version 2 was quite successful I guess. Well one of my testers achieved 20s undefeated streaks of games using a dual core on playchess engine room. Although most of them are draws, I guess I can call it a success since it can stand out against the majority of people who have faster computers there. But there can be no doubt that version 2 has some weaknesses. So I will update it now, this update is pure hand tuning.

Special thanks to my two loyal testers from the start out of the hundreds who downloaded the book for sending me games. Unfortunately, I get more of these 'hate mails' saying my book is crap and their book beats mine. FWIW I am just sharing my books here, and if you don't like it don't download it simple as that.

Oening Book Update

I will now update my previous opening book. My first one was quite successful, it reached number one currently (Feb 21 2009) at an opening book tournament: http://www.sedatchess.com/scct4rating.html . Special Thanks to Sedat for making this tourney.

My book's imported games are hand picked and most of development time was spent by manually editing it and relying on my intuition, but using engines like fritz and rybka of course. So yes, unlike most chess opening books this one is mostly handcrafted one. For this update, I have develop it for just a few weeks using just my slow laptop most of the time. So I don't know if this one will be stronger than my first since I don't have the hardware power this time to update the opening book. I have faster office computer quad core xp 32-bit but I have little free time to it this time.

Special thanks to those two guys, who sent me some games to help me build this handcrafted book update.

If you play at chess servers or run testing vs other books, please feel free to email me the games or analysis so I can improve the book for future versions. I lack hardware and I am only one man, I need some help of course :-)

Welcome to my site

Welcome to my site. I will post here mostly chess related stuffs. I have been making chess opening books for a some months now and decided to share my work.

my book: http://www.spaadyshare.com/2517sf02puqx/Gabriel.rar

works with fritz and chessbase GUIs. You can buy them at chessbase.

The book is created with various amount of GM games and Computer games available on the internet and some games played on my machine too. I don't really know how strong it is as I don't play with it on chess servers but I can guarantee you that I spent some tremendous amount of time manually editing the book and checking the lines.

As this is my first book I started since I bought rybka 3 chess engine on early December 2008 there might be some lines that are not tuned. The machine I use is quad core q6600 2.4Ghz and windows xp pro 32-bit, I also used fritz 10 as my second engine to check the lines in the book.

Currently (Feb 2009), the book reached 2750s elo with rybka 3 and cpu q6600 @ 2.4Ghz on playchess.com engine room. Special thanks to Jean for testing the book there and sending me games.
